Oh, you hit the nail on the head. Fear of missing the schoolbus would make me neurotic. We came close a couple of times, too. I really like how the trees bend away. Gives the piece a lot of action!

Hi Heather,
Thanks for visiting my blog and your kind comment.
I love this cheerful and colorful piece. Very fresh feeling.
Too bad, the school boy must be in great trouble.
If it's a holiday, I am sure he can take his slower pace to enjoy the spectacular scenery around.

You have created a great contrast here between the worried late school boy & the relaxed little kitty. Great! What an extreme contrast.

I love the way you made magic with the wavy road in midst of a beautiful greentone landscape.
Thanks.

Hi Heather--

I also love the perspective, not something easy to do at all. Great job creating the right mood and poses: I love the running boy!

Great cheerful, successful image, even if the poor kid is running to catch the bus he missed!

Well handled. Heather, you'll be so missed in our Sunday a.m. Central Market Inklings meetings. I know you'll remain a virtual Inkling in very good standing while you're in the Bay area, but
you've been such a steady (and steadying) personal presence in our group and it won't be quite the same without you physically there. Thank you for contributing so much to us, Heather!

I wish you and your family the very best in your transition into an exciting new life chapter.

Hugs,
Mark

Also I'm sorry you had to sell your mustang, but it sounds like he's gone to a very nice family.

Hi Heather, thanks for your comments, I'm quite pleased with my Halloween Cat too! I hope they sell well in Glastonbury.
I really like the colours of your last two entries, beautiful style too, the lines just seem to flow and make a beautiful composition.
Hope all is well with the house and things.
I'm hoping I get a chance to enter Illustration Friday again soon. I don't know where the days go!
