Illustration Friday: Repair

I've found myself in the curious position of not talking to my neighbor. Our kids had a fight, some things were said and now neither of us wants to come forward with an apology. Having somehow missed this stage as a teenager I'm at a loss for what to do. And with moving soon wonder if it will ever be repaired at all?

I really like this bold linear style and watercolor combination you're doing lately --
and the commentary that goes with each drawing! Bravo!

Very well done Heather! Good question regarding the neighbor. If there is a move in store, it might be better on your conscience, though I'm sure it's not your fault. My humble opinion.

I agree with Steve, I always try to be the better person even if it's not my fault. Life it's too short !

Have a nice weekend!

Nice work Heather. I love the linework. They do say that fences make better neighbors.

Wonderful drawing and just cross that bridge with a kind word and remove the fence of silence :)

I found this when I setting up my repair post.
Hugs to you Heather...

Heather, LOL!!! Oh but this is a hoot! I love the story. Is it true? I don't mean to make light of this at all. It's a prefect picture and a prefect word picture at that! Great work again!

Just to let everyone know, things were resolved to some degree. It was lack of communication. I'm still a little frustrated that they didn't talk to me before things blew up. I certainly would've handled things differently with more information. (but isn't that always the case?)
Thanks for all your support.

Cute illustration. If you think the burned bridge will haunt you for the rest of your life it will probably make you feel real good about yourself to be the first to apologize. Thanks for your honesty on my contest illustration for late. It was helpful.
