Illustration Friday: Routine

Routine was difficult. Especially right now when the family routine is all shaken up. But opportunities are presenting themselves in the form of interviews and tentative offers. And the foundation guys are coming tomorrow to put some piers under the sagging spots.

Eventually I thought about one of my routines which is riding my mustang about once a week. Sometimes I take my daughter out and let her ride him (under close supervision...) However it's beginning to look like the family will be relocating, and I'm not sure my 23 year old horse will be able to take another cross country trip. This horse has traveled from Nevada to New Mexico to Colorado to Texas.

I tried to push myself outside of my routine color choices--but I'm not sure I'm happy with what I came up with.

Purple is the color of good judgment. It is the color of people seeking spiritual fulfillment. It is said if you surround yourself with purple you will have peace of mind. Purple is a good color to use in meditation.

I love your purple horse! and child... You will be fine:)

I like the colors too, for it shows you're not afraid of change and of trying new things. It's a lovely illustration, the image of a quiet, peaceful ride with a good friend.
We've done our share of moving due to job changes, and one thing that has always helped me is to see it a chance to start again, and begin new routines. i hope you can bring your mustang with you for I can see you love him very much...

Beautiful! I like your color choices, and the purple horse shows imagination. This inspires ME to break my routine choices, too.

I will keep my fingers crossed for those job offers. Relocating and renovating are incredibly stressful, so my thoughts are with you. Everything ends, however, and I hope this period of limbo ends quickly and you find a new happy routine.

Bleach and a lap table is definatly not good so I'm looking forward to moving into the house. It sounds like you're having your own redecoration/DIY dramas, I do hope it all gets sorted out.
Good colour choice with the purple, makes your mustang very regal. x
