Illustration Friday: Enough

When it comes to cookies, my family can never get enough. (I must say that getting my kids to pose for this one wasn't difficult...)

I'm not sure about the dog. It adds to the story but seems to take away something from the composition. So here is it with no dog. Thoughts?

Oh, cookies, YUMMMM! I can never have enough either. Great illo! Love the kids' poses. I like the doggie in the cookie background. He seems to be jumping for joy, expressing his glee in a way that your son is too cool to do. :)))

good one! You're really working this style. I like it better without the dog. He doesn't look right spatially. Like he's flying in the air above the kids.

Gosh, I'm the same way with cookies (especially chocolate chip cookies!) I like it with the dog in the background too, I love his jumping pose!

At 1st i thought the dog in the background looked pretty cute and a nice idea, but i see what you mean about taking attraction away from the main focus. Maybe you could have the dog with it's paws up on the bench eating a cookie next to the children and then he/she won't be leading the eye off elsewhere?
